Edsby recognized for improving engagement for millions of students, their parents and educators worldwide

The Edsby digital learning and data platform for K-12 has been recognized as the 2020 winner of the Microsoft Canada public sector IMPACT award.

Announced today in a livestream in connection with the company’s annual Inspire partner conference, Microsoft wrote Edsby’s “outstanding work clearly stood out to our panel of judges. Thank you for delivering innovative solutions to your customers and for your great partnership with Microsoft.”

Edsby is hosted on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform and incorporates many Microsoft technologies. Microsoft’s popular Teams platform can be used for video conferencing and screen sharing in Edsby.

Edsby was Microsoft’s 2019 education partner of the year worldwide.

Edsby has received dozens of industry awards and accolades.

Dallas Kachan is VP of Marketing at Edsby. He has led, worked with or consulted to dozens of technology firms in Silicon Valley and Canada over thirty years. He was the original vice president of sales and marketing for SoftArc, developers of FirstClass, credited as one of the first internet-based LMSes. Dallas was managing director and head of global marketing for the Cleantech Group, the organization that founded the cleantech investment theme, and served on the board of the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business’ Cleantech Institute. He is the author of the travel and adventure novel, The Starship Diaries.
