Gartner names Edsby a FrontRunner

Technology analysis firm Gartner’s latest Software Advice rankings place the Edsby social learning management and data platform as the leading learning management solution built just for K-12.

Edsby appears as the top K-12-specific platform in new rankings of learning management systems released by IT analytics firm Gartner.

In an industry with hundreds of corporate and higher education vendors, Edsby is the only K-12 specific LMS to make the cut of 25 leading products, as measured against a number of quantitative criteria by Gartner digital property Software Advice.

For the assessment, products were evaluated scored against the capability and value they bring to users. The company then plotted the top 25-30 products for its report. To be considered, a product needed a minimum capability user rating score of 3.0 and a minimum value user rating score of 3.0.

All products that qualify as FrontRunners are top performing products in their market.

Unlike so-called Gartner’s Magic Quadrant analyses which incorporate an analyst’s qualitative judgement, the FrontRunners matrices rely entirely on authenticated customer reviews and customer ratings of product aspects such as ease of use, customer support and the product’s inclusion of key functionality. Other measurable criteria are also weighed. The table below compares key attributes of the FrontRunners analysis vs. Magic Quadrant:

The content for the FrontRunners quadrant is derived from actual end-user reviews and ratings as well as vendor-supplied and publicly available product and company information that gets applied against a documented methodology.
