Adding and Removing Edsby Live for Zoom

If your School District would like to use Zoom as the service provider, please open a support ticket. Support can configure an OAuth2 authentication service for your district. The Support team will copy information from the Zoom Zoom App Credentials page.

  1. Copy the Client ID and paste it into the Client ID field in Edsby OAuth Config form.

  2. Copy the Client Secret and paste it into the Client Secret field in Edsby OAuth Config form

  3. Provide a Service ID at the top of the Config form, this should be relative and unique among all OAuth Configs for the School

  4. Copy the Redirect URL in your OAuth Config form and paste it into the “Redirect URL for OAuth” in the Zoom App Credentials page. Also paste this link into the Whitelist URL below the Redirect URL for OAuth field. Hit continue at the bottom

District IT Admins can view OAuth2 authentication from by doing the following,

  • Navigate to the Manage page. 
  • Open the Features form by clicking Edit.
  • Open the OAuth 2 Client (Generic) form by clicking Configure. 

Select the configuration you wish to view. Please note, altering the information on this form will break the Zoom integration and your teachers will not be able to start Zoom meetings from within their classes or groups.

Disabling Video Conferencing Zoom integration

If your district no longer wishes to use the Zoom integration, do this

  1. Navigate to the Manage page. 
  2. Open the Features form by clicking Edit.
  3. In the Add On Modules section, click the Set checkbox to disable Video Conferencing. Note: After you save, it may take a couple of minutes for Edsby to apply any changes made to this form and/or any configuration forms under it.

Also remove Open the OAuth 2 Client (Generic) form by clicking the trashcan icon beside the service name.
