Every year, the Edsby Enthusiasts program recognizes a member who most exemplified what the program is all about: sharing knowledge generously, contributing to the community, and helping fellow educators and IT professionals see what’s possible with the Edsby digital learning platform for K-12. This year’s Enthusiast of the Year is an IT Manager at an Edsby K‑12 customer who, in keeping with her values around digital privacy, has asked to remain unidentified.
We thought about it. And we decided we could respect that.
After all, the Enthusiasts program has always been about what people contribute, not some spotlight they need to stand in.
So, no headshot. No employer named. No LinkedIn profile to click through to. Just the story of someone who did exceptional work on behalf of fellow Edsby users this past year, and who we think deserves recognition, even if anonymously.
The Work Speaks for Itself
Our 2026 Enthusiast of the Year is an IT Manager who has been working in K‑12 education technology for years and has developed a deep, practical understanding of what it takes to deploy and sustain a learning platform at scale. She’s the kind of person people turn to when something isn’t working — and the kind who actually writes back.
Throughout 2025 and into 2026, she was among the most active contributors to the Edsby Enthusiasts community. She joined behind-the-scenes product preview webinars. She posted public reviews. She answered questions from peers at other organizations. She completed surveys and provided product feedback that made its way directly into Edsby’s development discussions. She shared pictures, lots of pictures, of the Edsby robot/alien mascot in unusual places. She referred colleagues to Edsby when it came up in conversation — not because she was specifically asked to, but because she genuinely believed it was the right tool for the job.
In a program of hundreds of members, that level of consistent, substantive participation stands out.
Our Enthusiast of The Year likes to take pictures of Edsby in food. Why? You'd have to ask her.
In Her Own Words
We asked our 2026 Enthusiast of the Year a few questions. She generously agreed to let us share her responses here.
Q: What do you most enjoy about being an Edsby Enthusiast?
A: Being part of a community of people who actually care about getting this right. K‑12 IT is its own world — the stakes are different, the constraints are different—we always have to do more with less than the corporate world—and vendors don’t always get that. Being an Enthusiast has given me a way to connect with people who understand what it means to support teachers and students rather than just manage a system. That’s been valuable.
Q: What’s one thing you’d want other IT professionals to know about Edsby?
A: That Edsby was clearly built for K‑12 and only K‑12, and you can feel that in how it works. It’s not a corporate LMS that someone bolted a gradebook onto. The workflows make sense. The way it handles parents makes sense. The user roles make sense. When something is designed for your specific context, it saves you a lot of time explaining workarounds to your staff.
Q: What would you say to other IT Managers or educators thinking about joining the Edsby Enthusiasts program?
A: Do it. You don’t have to be a social media person or a conference speaker or any of that. You just have to care about Edsby and be willing to share what you know. I’m a fairly private person and I’ve still found it worthwhile — and I’ve gotten as much out of it as I’ve put in. That’s not always how these things go.
A Note on the Program
The Edsby Enthusiasts program exists because word of mouth is how good ideas spread — and because the people with the most credible things to say about Edsby are the people who use it every day.
Our 2026 winner is a reminder that the program has room for all kinds of contributors. You don’t need to want the spotlight. You don’t need to be active on every social platform or comfortable on camera. You just need to be willing to share what you know with people who could benefit from it.
If that sounds like you, the program is open. It takes about 30 seconds to sign up.
To our 2026 Edsby Enthusiast of the Year: you know who you are! Thank you for everything you contributed this past year. We’re glad you’re in the community. Even if the community doesn’t know your name.
