Publication names Edsby Best Parent-Teacher/School Communication App or Tool of 2020

The Tech Edvocate, a U.S. education policy publication and advocacy group, has announced winners of its annual education technology awards. Edsby was named Best Parent-Teacher/School Communication App or Tool of 2020.

The product was also a finalist in the Best Learning Management System and Best Learning Analytics/Data Mining App or Tool categories.

Finalists and winners of the 2020 Tech Edvocate Awards were chosen 20% on the basis of industry voting, and 80% “by a panel comprised of two edtech thought leaders, two PreK-12 teachers, one college professor, two K-12 administrators, one college administrator and two PreK-12 parents. They will take each nominees performance on the popular vote into consideration. Companies and individuals will be judged on the extent to which they are transforming education through the development and/or advocacy of edtech.”

He was the original vice president of sales and marketing for SoftArc, developers of FirstClass, credited as one of the first internet-based LMSes. Dallas was managing director and head of global marketing for the Cleantech Group, the organization that founded the cleantech investment theme, and served on the board of the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business’ Cleantech Institute. He is the author of the travel and adventure novel, The Starship Diaries.
