The Edsby Capture App, available via the App Store and Google Play, gives students and their parents a simple way to record evidence of student learning. After a record is uploaded, it appears in the teacher’s Evidence stream in Edsby.

Downloading the App
The Edsby Capture App is available via the App Store and Google Play. Click the links below to download the App and make capturing evidence a breeze.
Accessing QR Codes
In the classroom, your child’s teacher will supply them with a QR code.
However, teachers can also enable parents and students to print their own QR Codes for use of the Edsby Capture App at home.
When enabled, you can access your child’s QR Codes from their Learning Story. Access their Learning Story by clicking Learning Story under their name on your Home Screen in Edsby.
Or, on a browser, click Learning Story under their Classes Panel.
Click Print QR Codes.
All codes that have been shared by your child’s teachers will be accessible.
If your child’s teacher has not yet enabled you to print your child’s QR code, ask them! Using Edsby Capture is a great way to further your child’s learning and display what they are learning at home.
Using the App
Once downloaded, open the Edsby Capture App. Your child will see a screen where they are asked to scan their QR Code.
Use the camera to scan your child’s unique QR Code.
Take a picture or video of the piece of evidence you and your child wish to capture.
Switch between front and back cameras and set your flash settings using the icons.
The app will then bring you to a new screen where you can review and add to the submission. Click Add More to attach additional items to the submission.
Click Reflect and type a description of your child’s work. This will be seen by the teacher.
When you and your child are finished, click Upload.
Once captured, the evidence will automatically flow into the teacher’s Evidence system. After your child has submitted a piece of evidence regarding their own work, their teachers can review the evidence and choose to share it with you and your child.
If they have chosen to share the evidence, you can view it in your child’s Learning Story.
